GENERAL SUMMARY

Develop customer and prospect insights, audience building and propensity modeling leveraging our client’s 1st and 3rd party data within an advanced analytics environment. This position is responsible for working with large data sets pulled from media campaigns, CRM, and the client’s website to provide valuable insights for strategic planning and drive measurable improvements in media targeting. Responsibilities also include customer journey analytics and measuring causal relationships between marketing efforts and business outcomes. This is a great opportunity to develop your data chops and provide tangible value to internal agency stakeholders from media, strategy, and creative departments.

Day to Day:

  • Identifying business problems and challenges and find solutions utilizing Machine Learning and data science.
  • Apply expertise in data cleaning & wrangling, quantitative analysis, data mining, treatment of variable types etc.
  • Methodology selection and testing and coding solutions to a production level
  • Identify business challenges & opportunities for campaign improvements
  • Solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
  • See beyond the numbers and understand how users interact with the exposed media content (banners, videos, audios,)
  • Partner with Business and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities
  • Inform, influence, support, and execute our campaigns decisions and launches
  • Forecasting and setting campaign team goals, designing, and evaluating experiments
  • Monitoring key product metrics, understanding root causes of changes in metrics
  • Building key data sets structure to empower operational and exploratory analysis
  • Identifying new levers to help move key metrics over markets
  • Understanding ecosystems, user behaviors, and long-term trends
  • Building and analyzing dashboards and reports
  • Improving decisions through the presentation of data-based recommendations
  • Communicating the state of business, experiment results, etc. to product teams
  • Spreading best practices to analytics and other teams

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or similar field
  • Performing quantitative data analysis. report writing and presenting findings

Data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, MATLAB)

  • Strong applied machine learning experience including but not limited to:
  • Regression (Logistic/Linear/GLMs/Ridge/Lasso)
  • Tree Based (XGBoost, LightGBM, RF)
  • Clustering (Kmeans/RFM/Hierarchical/HDBSCAN)
  • Experience in at least one Deep learning framework: TensorFlow, Pytorch, Keras, MXNet, Gluon
  • Experience using SQL, Python, modeling, cluster analysis
  • Experience developing relevant and impactful data driven insights
  • Experience prepping and working with large data sets
  • Knowledge of digital media and web analytics a plus
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented, with a passion for digging into data to identify key trends, results, and critical outcomes
  • This person must be highly organized, with a charismatic and varied communication style
  • Ability to communicate technical and complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders and clients
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and modeling

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of info with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of AWS services (S3, EC2, Redshift, Glue, Athena, Lambda), its benefits, and shortcomings
  • Media experience preferred
  • Communicating the results of analyses to product or leadership teams to influence the strategy
  • Familiarity with various ETL techniques and frameworks
  • Experience working within a customer data platform such as Treasure Data, Google Cloud Platform, or Acxiom Marketing Analytics Environment
  • Knowledge of programmatic media, cross channel orchestration, journey optimization, automation, website personalization, dynamic creative optimization
  • This person must be highly organized, with a charismatic and varied communication style.
