As the principal product manager for advanced analytics, you will champion these users, owning the vision and product strategy for spatial analysis and data science at Esri. As spatial becomes ubiquitous, you will help Esri stay ahead of the competition by driving innovation.

This role requires a highly driven, self-motivated individual who will work across Esri teams, partners, international distributors, and a broad range of customers to champion the needs of the multiple user personas. Your role will have high visibility to Esri leadership and the broader ArcGIS community.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the product team and across the company
  • Inform the analytics and data science strategy for Esri and ensure that there is cohesion and continuity across Esri’s analytical offerings by working closely with development, engineering, and other product teams
  • Participate in competitive analysis and perform market research
  • Gather requirements from several different sources including from customer interactions
  • Speak at conferences and act as a Esri representative at both internal and external events
  • Lead a team of other product managers who will have portfolios that cover various spatial analysis and data science products

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technical product management
  • Experience with spatial analysis tools and technologies
  • Experience creating products for analysts and data scientists
  • Experience managing products that have multiple implementation options and/or architectural patterns (SaaS, server software, desktop software, APIs, etc.)
  • Experience managing a team
  • A masterful storyteller, empathetic listener, and natural collaborator
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical level
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
  • Ability to travel as needed

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience with GIS software
  • Proven success working on products in one or more of the following disciplines: data engineering, visualization and exploration, spatial analysis, machine learning and AI, modeling and scripting, big data, or operationalization and sharing
