SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we’re simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry.
By catering to both consumers and enterprises, we’re powering a new, open entertainment ecosystem where fans have effortless access to experiences, and teams, venues, and shows have seamless access to their audiences. Because everyone should expect more from ticketing.
We are looking for a Sr. Data Scientist to join SeatGeek's Marketing Analytics team in New York City. You will join a motivated team that will be the go-to partner driving improvements in customer acquisition, engagement, and long-term growth by optimizing new channels, platforms, product features, and strategic marketing plans.
You will lead experimentation for the team and develop our measurement capabilities for when traditional A/B testing isn't an option. We are looking for someone to help the team identify product and marketing levers for customer growth, and to systematically test and increase value for each.
This is a unique opportunity to make your impact on the post-COVID world of live events. You will study customer behavior, growth strategies, sports markets, and ticketing inventory to bring data and insights into every decision we make. Above all, your work will improve how we think about customer growth and how we can make SeatGeek the top destination for live event goers. As a part of the wider Analytics community at SeatGeek, you will not only learn from a team of analysts, engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts, but also develop your business literacy through substantial executive exposure.
What you'll do
As a member of the SeatGeek data science team you will report into the Head of Analytics. You will take the complex issues facing the business and make them simple. We aim to find meaning in the data we have, go out and get the data we don't. We use technology whenever possible, and we aim to build systems that solve the problems of today.
Here are some things you might work on:
Who you are
You have experience working on open-ended projects, and the ability to come up with creative, elegant solutions to complex issues. Experience with specific tools is less important than knowledge and drive, but at a minimum we would expect:
The tools we use
We do research and development work in a custom environment optimized for repeatability and collaboration. You absolutely do not need experience with all of these, but we thought you might be curious.
Perks
SeatGeek was built in 2009 as the only mobile ticketing marketplace created with fan experience top of mind. We’re transforming the way fans buy and sell their tickets to their favorite live events across sports, music, and theater.
