About the position

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to help us create artificial intelligence products.

You will be responsible for creating machine learning models and retraining systems. If you have exceptional skills in statistics and programming and additionally, have knowledge of data science and software engineering, we’d like
to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to shape and build efficient self-learning applications.

What you’ll do

• Verify data quality, and / or ensure it via data cleaning
• Define validation strategies
• Train models and tune their hyperparameters
• Find available datasets online that could be used for training
• Deploy models to production
• Analyze the ML algorithms that could be used to solve a given problem and rank them by their success probability
• Understand business objectives and develop models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress
• Analyze the errors of the model and design strategies to overcome them
• Use data modelling and evaluation strategy to find patterns and predict unseen instances
• Collaborate with data engineers to build data and model pipelines

Expertise you’ll bring

• Strong background in Python, linear algebra, statistics, and some basic experience in machine learning frameworks
• Expertise in machine learning / information retrieval / artificial intelligence / text mining problems
• As an algorithms geek and researcher in the field of data science, experience
• in statistical and analytics packages / tools (R, Alteryx etc.)
• Willingness to learn new open-source technologies and languages
• High level of proficiency in statistical tools, relational databases, and expertise
• in programming languages like Python/SQL is desired
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
