Responsibilities

• Responsible for the architecture, implementation and maintenance of the data pipelines for scaling and operating Wootcloud’s device detection, risk and threat analytics. 
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
• Spear head in bringing leading technologies, best practices to the team.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources 'big data' technologies
• Design and implement features baked on with product requirements in collaboration with product managers, other developers and QA.
• Engage in cross functional team conversation to help prioritize tasks, communicate clearly to team members about their goals and overall deliver on business requirements.
• Bring excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with discretion and sound independent judgment
• Work with data engineers to retrieve, clean and normalize data
• Define scalable data acquisition and labeling strategy for specific use cases

Required Technical Skills

• Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets
• Familiarity with networking, storage and compute data
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
• Strong analytic skills related to working with deeply nested, semi-structured (e.gJSON) data as well as unstructured data
• A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
• Experience using the following software/tools: Big data tools: Spark, Kafka, etc, 
• Experience with non-SQL databases like MongoDB, Elasticsearch etc.
• Experience with creating simple web UIs
• Data pipeline and workflow management tools: Kubernetes, Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc
• Object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc
• -familiar with Machine Learning & Data Science techniques, security applications and/or adjacent domains

Qualifications and Experience

• Masters in Computer Science, Statistics or Engineering or with focus in ML/AI
• 8-10 years of work experience 
• Proven hand-on technical experience 
• Experience building software in the security domain will be a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
