Job Description

Your responsibility includes:

• Responsible for developing programs for large Application Services in the Big Data and Data Warehouse space
• Execute data mapping and lineage strategy for the organization
• Translate business requirements to technology implementation
• Proactively identify Risk and Issues and communicate with lead BA’s and Scrum Masters
• Independently provide/review on Technical Solutions for the requirements and expected to manage a small group of developers team
• Work together with senior team members such as ETL Architects, Business Analysts, QA, etc. to implement the development
• Responsible for the resolution of technical issues that may require partnership across the client organizations
• Provide unit tested source code that meets the required standards and guidelines
• Stay current and apply expertise in the development, execution, and improvement of action plans
• Contribute at the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to generate high level designs
• Provide support in maintaining security and data privacy
• Suggest changes to design, products, and processes
• Responsible for managing and deploying HBase
• Responsible for Hadoop development and implementation
• Work on disparate data sets, carry out analysis of vast data stores, and uncover insights
• Responsible for developing scalable and high?performance web services for data tracking.

Your skills and experience

To excel in this role, you should possess below:

Skills:

• Excellent knowledge on banking and capital market products
• Strong knowledge of Big Data Frameworks or Hadoop-based technologies
• Strong knowledge of Real-time processing framework (Apache Spark, HiveQL, SQL)
• Preferably have prior experience of working with global financial institution in Regulatory Reporting or should have prior experience in end-to-end implementation of at least one regulatory reporting framework for Financial Institutions
• Strong analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to research and to apply problem-solving skills to complex technical problems
• Free hand on UNIX and basic shell scripting
• Must possess problem-solving and creative thinking ability
• Business facing experience w.r.to technical discussions, Team Handling/Generic skills
• Self driven, ready to learn and adopt depending on organization needs
• Good communication and team skills
• Knowledge of code migration and version controlling tools like Jenkin, Bitbucket, Github etc.

Experience:

• 5-10 years of implementation experience in Big Data environment
• Experience in developing Data ingestion and integration flows using Big Data ecosystem tools - Hadoop-Hive, Sqoop, Spark, Impala and Hadoop Restful APIs
• Must have 3-5 years of experience in core Java or Scala
• Hands-on experience in Spark using Java / Scala
• Proficient in writing SQL, HiveQL code and Data modelling
• Hands-on experience on UNIX and basic shell scripting
• Conversant in Agile methodology of project execution is preferred
• Hands on experience on built tool tools like Jenkin, Bitbucket, Github etc
• Hands on experience on unit testing
