Job Description

The Central Media Technology Institute of the Laboratory in 2012 is Huawei's media technology innovation and engineering capability center, responsible for the technical competitiveness of products in the media field. Faced with the challenges and opportunities of customers, industry and company's future business, it will continue to focus on technological research, innovation and breakthroughs in the media field (photography, audio, video, AR&VR, codec standards etc.) to ensure that the company's core competitiveness of media products continues to lead and support the company's long-term business success.

The Central Media Technology Institute has set up R&D centers and professional laboratories in seven overseas countries such as Japan, North America and Europe, as well as domestic R&D centers in Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, etc. In the field of mobile phone photography, audio, video, AR&VR, codec standards and other technology, Huawei is in the leading position in the industry, supporting Huawei to become the leader of mobile devices and ICT industry.

The recruitment of the Central Media Technology Institute involves mobile phone photography, audio, video, AR&VR and other media fields. Ideally you are currently in a pioneer scientist / technologist leadership position within a first-tier industrial or academia Research and Development organization, you are a passionate scientist / technologist in the area of computer graphics technologies including rendering/simulation, modeling, and animation and have a strong track record of delivering influential?computer graphics technologies. You have demonstrated outstanding?ability to envision the future and have the technical leadership skills to drive concept through to product roadmap impact. You have good contribution of technology partnerships with the?world's industrial and academic community.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the construction of technological competitiveness in the field of CG, building the key selling points and technological breakpoints, enhancing fundamental graphics capabilities of Huawei’s chipsets, devices, and cloud products, promoting Huawei to be a world-leading graphics technology provider;
• To contribute to the strategy development in Research and Development through working closely with global?product lines;
• To provide strong leadership and independent advice to deliver Huawei’s vision on next next-generation graphics technology.

Qualifications

• 15 years+ relevant working experience in the media field, systematic understanding of digital media generation technology in the industry.
• M.Sc. (Eng.) or PhD. degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Extensive experience in product development, familiarity with industry resources, innovative thinking, and ability to grasp the direction of technology and business development trend.
• Has built a great industrial/academic influence in computer graphics filed, able to build close relationships and partnerships with key influencers in the field.
• Able to think strategically and articulate the future of the Media Technology Institute.
• Excellent leadership and influencing skills, able to work through people and deliver outstanding results within a matrix leadership context.?
• Outstanding communicator and networker.
