Dexai is revolutionizing the food industry. Alfred, our robot sous-chef, combines a sleek, hygienic robot with unique machine-learning algorithms to provide seamless and efficient automated food-preparation for our customers.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in manufacturing, testing, and deploying complex hardware systems.

You Have:

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field
• 2+ years of industry or equivalent experience
• Track record of overseeing many successful customer installations of complex electromechanical systems including shipping/handling with third party carriers, system installation/calibration, and supporting regular mechanical maintenance
• Comfortable with traveling up to 50% of time (mostly domestic travel; occasionally international)
• Familiarity with manufacturing and quality assurance methods to fabricate, build, and certify complex electromechanical hardware systems
• Experience with test plan writing, execution, and reporting on results/next steps in order to solve cross-functional engineering problems
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical issues, determining root cause failures, and implementing corrective/preventative actions
• Strong hands-on skills using standard mechanical tools such as mills, lathes, drills, saws, laser cutters, etc.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to work closely with our tight-knit team and to communicate with local and overseas vendors
• A strong sense of end-to-end ownership. You love delivering physical systems under a “no task is too small” mentality.
• A can-do attitude, recognizing that there are dozens of reasons why something can’t be done, and wanting to find the handful of ways it can be done

You Might Also Have:

• Experience with electronics and circuit design
• Experience with Python, C++, or Linux OS command line navigation
• Experience using mechanical CAD software packages such as SolidWorks
• Familiarity with PLM systems to manage CAD data
