Dexai is revolutionizing the food industry. Alfred, our robot sous-chef, combines a sleek, hygienic robot with unique machine-learning algorithms to provide seamless and efficient automated food-preparation for our customers.

The ideal candidate has deep experience designing and developing complex hardware systems.

You Have:

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering field
• 2+ years of industry or equivalent experience developing hardware systems with preference towards execution on the following requirements: mechanism reliability, ingress protection, foodservice sanitation, cost efficacy, user safety, and lovable user interaction
• A strong sense of end-to-end ownership. You love delivering physical systems under a “no task is too small” mentality through the entire design lifecycle including requirements, design, testing, characterization, manufacturing, certification, and iteration
• Excellence in using mechanical CAD software packages such as SolidWorks
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical issues, determining root cause failures, and implementing corrective/preventative actions
• Familiarity with PLM systems to manage CAD data
• Familiarity with manufacturing and quality assurance methods to fabricate, build, and ship products at scale
• Strong hands-on skills using standard mechanical tools such as mills, lathes, band saws, laser cutters, etc.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to work closely with our tight-knit team and to communicate with local and overseas vendors
• A can-do attitude, recognizing that there are dozens of reasons why something can’t be done, and wanting to find the handful of ways it can be done

You Might Also Have:

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering field
• Experience with electronics and/or circuit design
• Experience with Python, C++, or Linux OS command line navigation
