About the team
The Business Analyst – Salesforce will provide support for and enhancements to our Salesforce platform as a member of our IT Application Excellence team within Corporate IT. You will apply industry standard best practices to ensure the platform is robust, healthy, current, and fulfilling the needs of the business.
As a member of our go-to-market portfolio team within IT, you will be responsible for building and designing solutions (including needs assessment, technology selection, managing technology implementation, process improvement projects, supporting business systems and ensuring compliance with IT General Controls including Sarbanes Oxley 404 Controls) for our Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support business units on various platforms such as Salesforce CPQ, Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud, Salesforce Community Cloud, Coveo for Salesforce Platform, Salesforce CPQ, Gainsight CX/PX, GetFeedback / ZoomInfo, 6sense, Outreach, etc.
What you will do
- Work closely with other Corporate IT teams, IT Business Partners, App Excellence team members and business users to identify and analyze business processes, user and system requirements and support existing suit of Sales, Marketing & Customer Support solutions.
- Work in collaboration with your team in managing the backlog of Salesforce improvement opportunities (features, enhancements, fixes etc.) using an Agile approach, delivering a regular sprint release cycle.
- Be a Salesforce guru at Kinaxis, understand and interpret new features and functions in forthcoming Salesforce Releases and continually broaden your Salesforce knowledge and skillset to ensure we take full advantage of the Salesforce platform.
- Provide business analysis, implementation, integration, configuration, and testing excellence in support of the Salesforce platform.
- Support the implementation of new projects and provide support for our Salesforce platform, apps, upgrades, enhancements, fixes, and features in collaboration with business SMEs, Solution Architects, Business Analysts and Developers.
- Support new application implementation projects, including project coordination, data migration, user training, ITIL process implementation go-live and post-go-live support.
What we are looking for
- 4+ years of functional/professional experience in business analysis, project management, testing, application support, with most of the time spent implementing, configuring and supporting Salesforce with a focus on CPQ. Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Salesforce Communities with custom configuration of Salesforce are also desired experiences to have.
- Experience with design, configuration and/or support of Salesforce apps such as, GetFeedback / ZoomInfo, Outreach, 6sense, Gainsight, or similar tools preferred.
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) & Agile best practices.
- Ability to translate high-level business requirements into functional and system requirements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cloud technologies, object-oriented, and web-based systems, applications, environments, and relevant tools/technology.
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
- Having a technical background, system/data integration experience, or experience with API development is a plus.
- Experience writing Apex Triggers, Data loader, and custom code a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinker with strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate several alternative solutions to meet the business needs.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
- B.S. degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Preferred Certifications: Salesforce CPQ Specialist, Salesforce Certified Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant
