Job Description

Data Analytics is one of the CaseWare Cloud Business Lines. We are paving the way to the future of data-driven cloud engagements. This team enables data extraction from various sources providing simplified reporting, tailored analytics and risk management. The team comprises around 50 talented individuals, working in Development, Design, and Product, segregated into three primary teams:

Data Imports:

•  Responsible for ingestion and pre-processing of accounting data from flat files and various online data sources into Caseware CloudTech Stack: Angular, Node, Java (SpringBoot), AWS

Data Platform:

Responsible for persisting and providing access to the processed data tHowhrough REST APIsTech Stack:

• Java (SpringBoot), Kotlin, AWS

Analytics:

• Responsible for analyzing and providing insights into the data ingestedTech Stack: Python (Tornado), TypeScript, AWS

• AWS Services used: DynamoDB, EMR, Glue, Lambdas, RDS, SNS, SQS, Step Functions, S3

What you will be doing:

• You will be a full member of an Agile team responsible for designing and building new features, fixing bugs, and creating automated unit tests as part of a deployment pipeline
• Create innovative, scalable, fault-tolerant software solutions
• You will work with various relational and non-relational data stores to analyze financial data
• You will gain exposure to modern software development techniques including automated unit testing, code reviews, 3-tiered architecture, Microservices, SDK design, and Agile scrum
• Deploying, monitoring and maintaining the health of the microservices
• You will interact with other developers, product owners, UX specialists, and data scientists

What you will bring [Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required]:

• Solid understanding of Angular, Java, Python, C#, or C++
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Concepts
• Understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
• Experience with relational databases

What you will bring [Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities]:

• Shareable code repository demonstrating best practices of software development including commit history, branch strategies, and testing
• Strong programming aptitude, as demonstrated by high achievement in Computer Science courses

Education:

• Working towards a B.Sc./B.Eng. in Computer Science or Software Engineering
