Job Description

Tencent America is looking for a talented researcher in deep learning to join our research team in Palo Alto. We are passionate about applied deep learning research to develop algorithms in computer vision including image and video super-resolution, restoration, denoising, enhancement, etc.. After developing cutting edge algorithms, you will have a chance to represent the company in International Standardization organizations and academia research venues.

Responsibilities:

• Develop algorithms in computer vision including image and video super-resolution, restoration, denoising, enhancementetc.
• Contribute to patent applications

Minimum qualification:

• PhD. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or close related field with 4+ years or relevant work or lab/research experience.
• Excellent knowledge of theory and practice of machine learning.
• Track record of research excellence.
• Knowledge of applications areas such as computer vision and video analysis.
• Familiar with common deep learning frameworks.
• Strong experience with at least one deep learning framework, such as Tensorflow, PyTorch.
• Solid programming skills with C/C++/Python.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, global team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Research experience in deep neural network compression
• The employee is expected to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment.
• The employee is the one responsible for these functions and is free from immediate direction or supervision.
