Your Role:

The Safety Data Retrieval & Analysis Team provides customers of Global Patient Safety with complex reports from various safety databases and supports the analysis of safety data in the context of benefit/risk assessments. The incumbent of this role has good Pharmacovigilance knowledge and has already gathered experience with retrieval, analysis, and visualization of complex data. You work together with our medical teams and develop innovative methods to analyze, evaluate, and present pharmacovigilance data. You maintain an overview on relevant processes and continuously improve them to enhance our compliance, quality and efficiency. Acting as an interface between our customers (physicians and operational units) and IT team members, you understand the medical and scientific questions and you can translate them into technical requirements. Within this role, it is essential that you enjoy communication and collaboration with people from interdisciplinary teams. Your structured working manner allows you to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship building skills enable you to work successfully in interdisciplinary, heterogeneous teams.

Who you are:

  • University degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Data Sciences or Life Sciences, PhD preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting and visualization software and proven experience with relational databases (SQL, R, Spotfire, Cognos…)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated Project- and Vendor Management skills
  • Experience with pharmacovigilance databases is a plus
  • Fluent spoken and written English, good language skills in German is a plus
