Key Responsibilities

• Extract and manage datasets from a big data framework to use for analyses and model training.
• Assist in prototyping models, including model creation, training, and evaluation.
• Implement training and real-time model evaluation architectures into production (in an existing codebase).
• Run experiments to assess and report model performance in production settings.

Requirements

• Working towards M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research or related field.
• Experience with Python is strongly preferred, experience with SQL and Java is also desirable.
• Familiarity with data analysis and machine learning/modeling techniques including neural nets, gaussian processes, recommender systems, etc; robust knowledge of practical statistics and their application in machine learning.
• Preferred experience with machine learning platforms and tools such as python/pandas or R, TensorFlow (strongly preferred) or PyTorch, etc.
• Experience using cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS, while not required, is also favorable.
