Overview

We are seeking a Data Scientist & Machine Learning Expert to join the Advanced Sensors Team (AST) under the Oil & Gas Network Integrity R&D Division, which focuses on rapid technology development aimed providing solutions for integrity related challenges, and decreasing the cost of corrosion and related activities including: inspection, monitoring, and maintenance.

This role will contribute to research and portfolio development, including: artificial intelligence powered sensor solutions for integrity monitoring, reliability enhancement, and inspection technologies. The Data Scientist & Machine Learning Expert will also be responsible for designing and developing machine learning applications in order to meet project objectives related to the prototyping, validation, and deployment of sensing technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop artificial intelligence algorithms utilizing deep learning, RNN, and advanced modeling approaches.
• Research and develop innovative AI-powered sensing solutions for oil and gas business operations.
• Alignment with business stakeholders in order to understand their goals and objectives.
• Mentor junior personnel and provide consultancy in machine learning and data science technologies.
• Lead development tasks and projects to address challenges experienced by Aramco operations.
• File patents and present technical findings in published journal articles and at intra-company meetings.

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Ten years’ experience in technological and/or industrial sectors, with substantial experience in developing machine learning data driven solutions for sensing and monitoring applications.
• Strong data science background for the purpose of developing AI sensor technologies.
• Significant programming experience with C/C++ and Python.
• Experience developing mobile applications on platforms including iOS and Android, and standalone desktop applications using Java, Python, HTML, and SQL.
• Demonstrated active participation in technology development and technical seminars.
