Job Description

As a Reliability Engineer within the Data Platforms team, you will make an impact by taking ownership and accountability for the performance, reliability and security of our Data Platforms and associated integrations. You will improve operational statistics by applying reliability engineering practices as agreed by team’s Service Level Objectives

What you'll bring with you

• Exposure and proven track record of implementing and supporting a data platform at scale
• Track record of solving customers' problems through softwareExperience defining and implementing a capacity planning process
• Excellent communication skillsPractical Knowledge of ITIL practices
• Takes ownership of problems and executes a pragmatic and collaborative approach to their resolveExperience in administering virtualisation and container orchestration environments.
• Experience with DevOps, including CI/CD, automation Experience with implementing and integrating with monitoring and alerting tools
• Experience in the deployment, automation, maintenance, and management of Cloud-based environmentsExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShiftExperience with supporting Data platforms preferably in cloud environments
• Experience in securing Big Data environments.
• Management of security at multiple levels – network, infrastructure, application, and dataExperience in teams employing Agile and DevOps practices – continuous automated testing and deployment of code
• Bachelor of Computer Science, or relevant experience
