Job Description

Fundamental to this mission is the use of data and analytics, which impacts all functional areas of the

company. We are building teams and processes to ensure that sales, marketing, operations, product

development, engineering, and clinical care are data driven.

The Data Project Manager position is part of the Portfolio and Strategy team, and reports to the Data

Science organization (part of the larger Beacons R&D group). This team focuses on strategic, data-

oriented projects across the enterprise. This position plays a key role in defining and managing projects

that are typically multifunctional in nature and may broadly impact the organization. The job requires

an understanding of the various Teladoc business units, data sources and pipelines, and how data

science can drive success across the business units.

To be considered, you have demonstrated an ability to quickly learn and manage complex projects

across multiple teams: setting clear objectives, defining success metrics, delivering on time. In this

position, you will become a thought leader on the application and impact of data science across the

Teladoc enterprise. You must be an executive-level communicator and have confidence reporting

results and interacting with C-suite executives.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of the current data science footprint across the enterprise and
• identify/prioritize opportunities and grow the DS impact.
• Define and structure data projects, gaining buy-in from C-suite constituents and other cross-
• functional leaders.
• Lead the project management function for these projects, setting clear objectives, defining
• metrics to gauge success, and delivering on time.
• Work closely with various data science and other Beacons teams: assisting with initiatives related
• to running the business, making processes more efficient, and developing new initiatives to
• enhance the Teladoc platform.
• Develop effective communications about these initiatives for the Beacons organization, sales
• and marketing, and C suite leaders executives.
• Identify and develop relationships with healthcare ecosystem partners that help multiply the
• impact of Teladoc in the marketplace.

Candidate Profile

• A bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (e.g., computer science, business information systems)
• An MBA or comparable graduate degree is preferred.
• 2 - 5+ years work experience with technical, business, and strategic expertise related to the
• design and delivery of innovative products.
• Results-driver project manager, with a focus on understanding and prioritizing business drivers.
• Demonstrated ability to carry out a project vision with minimal supervision, and with critical
• thinking, problem solving, and creativity.
• Strong communicator demonstrating clarity, elegance and assurance.
• Strategic thinker, with a record of building strategies rooted in insight, data and best practices.
• Experience in understanding data modeling terminologies and analytical strategies.
