Job Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing team in our Mental Health product line. The ideal candidate will

participate in the design, implementation, testing and shipping of features that can scale to millions of users. Build features with a major focus on performance, scalability and future expansion. Write unit and functional automation to validate code quality.

We’re looking for engineers with appetite to learn new technologies and self-motivated. It’s critical that you have a passion for learning. You will be working on various technologies in the Teladoc application stack.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the design and product team to create a world class healthcare experience 
• Design, develop new features and bug fixes as part of an agile team.
• Practice agile development cycles and collaborative coding methodologies
• Helping your teammates succeed through peer reviews, documentation and QA.
• Learn and apply new technologies as needed to solve business problems.

Candidate Profile

• BS degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process preferred (internships ok)
• You embody the entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to drive change and think outside the box
• You have hands-on experience with JavaScript & React
• You have interest in learning or experience with Ruby on Rails, and/or Java
• You are comfortable working with PostgreSQL or MySQL
• You can consume and utilize new languages, design patterns, APIs and toolsets
• You are able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn are a must
