Job Description

We’re looking for a Data Science analytics team member to collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering as we work toward optimizing our web and mobile experiences. As a Data Scientist I, you will refine and maintain our instrumentation platform, analyze member behavior to guide product decisions, and create a more valuable, delightful and intuitive experience for our Members. In addition to technical data science skills, core competencies such as collaboration, decision-making, communication and flexibility will be key to your success.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Marketing, and Engineering to optimize our web and mobile analyticsand support new instrumentation, tagging, analytics, and reporting requirements
  • MaintainPiwik instrumentation and tag manager 
  • Test and optimize key metrics to ensure proper configuration and tagging
  • Createscheduled and ad-hoc reports and dashboard 
  • Maintaindocumentation of tagging and analytics framework 
  • Supportexperimentation tracking and sampling techniques
  • Onboard new users and oversee training
  • Handle user permissions once users obtain OneLogin access from IT

Candidate Profile

  • Data science experience (SQL, Python, R) and familiarity with managing large data sets
  • Basic understanding of front-end engineering using Object-Oriented JavaScript, JavaScript libraries and micro frameworks such as jQuery, HTML5 and CSS
  • Experience building insightful dashboards with visualization tools like Tableau is a plus
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with non-technical stakeholdersand help them craft hypotheses, and define and measure KPIs
  • History of managing native and API integrations of analytics, marketing, and experimentation (A/B testing) tag implementations
  • A self-starter approach, with strong motivation and drive for excellence 
  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field is required. Master’s Degree is preferred.

Location: We are moving to a hybrid work environment (2 days onsite/3 days remote). Locations across the USA.
