Job Overview

• Work with project teams and product partners to determine project goals and OKRs.
• Design and develop algorithms and models to use against large datasets to create business insights.
• Make appropriate selection, utilization and interpretation of advanced analytical methodologies.
• Design and conduct exploratory data analysis (for example, statistical analysis/segmentation, anomaly detection, assumption testing)
• Work with Data Engineers and platform engineers to Conduct A/B test and report out A/B test data.
• Present models or data results to different groups of stakeholders with data visualizations.
• Creates proofs of concept. Deploy models to production. Track model behavior and make adjustments to model parameters depending on scale and trending.
• Train and scale algorithms to apply models to new data sets.
• Combine data features to determine optimal models.
• Work on eCommerce search, recommendation related data science projects.

• Participates in learning activities around modern software design and development core practices (communities of practice)
• Proactively views articles, tutorials, and videos to learn about new technologies and best practices being used within other technology organizations

Preferred Graduate Degree Master’s Degree in Computer Science or analytics, preferably PhD in quantitative field (Computer Science, Math, Statistics, etc.)

Comments

• Proficient in Prescriptive Modeling like optimization, deep learning, computer vision, recommendation, search or NLP
• Mastery utilizing statistical techniques to identify key insights that help solve business problems
• Experience with programming languages- Python or R.
• Experience in writing SQLs to get data from Google Big Query or equivalent OLAP databases.
• Familiar with model assessment and validation
• Exposure with cloud computing on at-least one of major providers (Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure).
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
• This is an engineering position, and in our team, we believe in “always production-ready” code.
