We are looking for an executive-level Data Scientist with an open and creative mindset, a technology, and data enthusiast with deep experience in AI/ML and data analytics, who has a proven track record in using data to create insights that create experiences that delight customers and provide new business insights.

This role is focused on providing data leadership across Print and Personal Systems targeting consumers and microbusinesses, reporting directly to Head of Data Platforms and Privacy. As the Distinguished Technologist Lead Data Scientist, you will champion large data projects that affect the company’s long-range goals and objectives. You will lead the dialog with executive management and technical colleagues across the company to establish a vision and execute against a roadmap to provide innovative experiences and capabilities to our customers using Data as our guide. You will develop strategies and approaches to use our IoT and application data to guide the development of these new capabilities and you will establish new approaches for predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Specific Requirements and Responsibilities:

Recognized authority internally and externally on leading-edge technologies, theories, or techniques. Provides innovative solutions to complex and critically sensitive issues affecting multiple disciplines and work groups. Determines and pursues courses of action essential in accomplishing objectives. Integrates advanced technology, theories or techniques that have a significant continued impact across disciplines and business units. Serves as organization spokesperson on specialized projects or programs. Champions large projects that affect the company’s long-range goals and objectives. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.

Responsibilities

  • Develops data science strategy and technology roadmaps for system design and development across multiple platforms and products in the Global Business Unit and company at large.
  • Communicates strategy and technology roadmaps to executive staff, industry partners and customers; leverages recognized technical and business expertise to influence, guide, and shape business strategy and decision- making at the highest organizational levels.
  • Provides consultation, design input, and feedback for data science solution development and design reviews across multiple organizations and architectures.
  • Guides and mentors less- experienced staff members to set an example of software systems design and development innovation and excellence.
  • Participates in and provides input on process for selection of future technical leaders.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Industry expert regarding development of data science solutions and technologies.
  • History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in the field of data science.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in overall architecture of software and data management systems, data transformation methodologies and big data solutions.
  • Exceptional ability to define and create complex models to pull valuable insights, predictions and innovation from data and effectively visualize and tell stories that communicate data insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at the most senior organizational levels.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's, Master's or PHD degree in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Typically 15+ years’ experience including graduate or postgraduate research.
