Imagine a customer shopping for a Printer or a PC. What is the price HP should be selling its products at to optimize the long-term profit? What is the optimal response to an observed price move of its main competitors? We are looking for a data science leader, who can help us make decisions on how to best price in situations like this.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a data science team with a strong culture of delivery and accountability for results
• Inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to be highly effective both in terms of impact and team culture
• Lead the problem solving in the topics of pricing optimization, algorithmic pricing, and experimentation
• Drive thought leadership and innovation on data science in the context of pricing

What you will need:

Must haves:

• At least 10 years working experience in data science and 5 years experience in a managerial position
• Proven track record of success leading data science teams
• Strong theoretical and applied skills in Machine Learning and Statistics/Econometrics
• Proficiency with Python or R
• Experience in deploying ML solutions at scale
• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related disciplines

Bonus points for:

• Interest in pricing, economics, and consumer behavior
• Knowledge of price optimization approaches, price discrimination models and general knowledge of main concepts from the industrial organization literature
• Basic understanding of finance and product economics
