Job Description

Conduent is seeking a Principal Data and Analytics Solution Architect with cloud and data technology expertise who will be part of our Analytics Practice and will be expected to drive our core analytics platform and lead a team of architects delivering analytics solutions across several segments. This role requires a broad range of skills and the ability to step into different roles depending on the situation, size and scope of the project; it’s a hands-on role with primary responsibility to provide leadership on data and analytics solution architecture and standardization across solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and lead our enterprise-grade multi-cloud data and Analytics platform vision and capabilities roadmap driving standardization and reuse across analytics solutions built across multiple business, and domains
• Lead design and building of our analytics platform and related solutions and services
• Manage, mentor and grow our global analytics team of architects comprising of several data & analytics solution architects
• Work closely with analytics practice leadership, and various Conduent business groups, clients and technology organizations to drive innovations and new analytics capabilities /offerings
• Hands on to drive teams and standardize our approach to data and analytics capabilities and associated processes through a shared set of definitions, techniques, and processes
• Reviews the solution requirements and lead the architecture to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technology.
• Define and drive development of applications, modules, and tools using C#, Python, PowerShell using appropriate Software Design Patterns
• Design, and develop conceptual / logical / physical data models for analytics solutions.
• Work closely with the rest of the teams to provide data services for our analytics solutions, including modeling, stored procedures, replication, and other assistance to progress and meet technical and business goals.
• Ensures that industry-accepted architecture principles, standards, guidelines and concepts are integrated with those of allied disciplines and coordinated roll-out and adoption strategies are in place.
• Support and lead our platform and other related presentations and demos to Customers and Partners
• Advising on new technology trends and possible adoption to maintain competitive advantage

Experience Needed:

• 15+ years industry experience and at least 10 years of experience in data, and analytics solutions and application architect role are required along with at least 5 years’ experience designing and building analytics solutions across multiple cloud vendors (like Azure, AWS, Google) including leveraging open source ecosystem.
• Demonstrated experience as lead architect delivering modern data architecture platforms and solutions with capabilities spanning data warehouse, as well as advanced analytics (Machine learning, NLP etc.)
• Has experience managing a team and be responsible for their growth and deliverables
• A BS or master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is required
• Demonstrated experience in DevOps, MLOps, along with Kubernetes and containerization is a must
• Demonstrated in depth skills with the ability to configure and administer all aspects of data environments including SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics, hadoop, kafka, spark, data lake etc.
• Must understand and drive cloud-agnostic architecture and has experience with refactoring an existing platform to make cloud agnostic
• Must be knowledgeable about industry solutions like VMware Tanzu, DataBricks, SnowFlake, Cloudera etc.
• Must be knowledgeable about OSS analytics platforms: PyTorch, Pynum, Jupyter notebooks, as well as Hadoop
• Data Quality Management and Data Architecture standardization experience
• Strong understanding / knowledge of Software Design Patterns along with Programming Experience in C#.net, Python and PowerShell
• Deep understanding of the operational dependencies of applications, networks, systems, security and policy (both on-premise and in the cloud; VMs, Networking, VPN (Express Route), Active Directory, Azure Storage (Blob, ADLS G2, Tables, etc.), Windows/Linux).
• Advanced study / knowledge in the field of computer science or software engineering along with advanced knowledge of software development and methodologies.
• Is familiar with the principles and practices involved in development and maintenance of software solutions and architectures and in-service delivery.
• Has strong technical background and remains evergreen with technology and industry developments.

Additional Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple, complex technical projects
• Prior experience with application delivery using an Onshore/Offshore model
• Experience with business processes across multiple Master data domains in a services-based company will be nice to have
• Demonstrates a rational and organized approach to the tasks undertaken and an awareness of the need to achieve quality.
• Demonstrates high standards of professional behavior in dealings with clients, colleagues and staff.
• Is able to make sound and far reaching decisions alone on major issues and to take full responsibility for them on a technical basis.
• Strong written communication skills. Is effective and persuasive in both written and oral communication.
• Experience with gathering end user requirements and writing technical documentation
• Time management and multitasking skills to effectively meet deadlines under time-to-market pressure
• Requires some travel (on average 10%-20%)
