We are looking for top notch Business Intelligence Engineers to be part of our world class Business Intelligence for Transportation team.

• 4-7 years of experience business intelligence or business analyst role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technologies.
• Expert in designing, building and maintaining large and complex datasets, reports, dashboards and other BI solutions
• Expert knowledge in SQL. Can perform complex analysis using large datasets and optimize complex queries.
• Knows how to model data and design a data pipeline (ETL)
• Expert in building BI solutions which are efficient, testable, maintainable, and resistant to data quality issues
• Advanced skills in data visualization tools like Amazon Quicksight, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Basic understanding of a scripting language or R.
• Able to apply basic statistical methods (e.g. regression) for difficult business problems
• Able to refine requirements from business stakeholders into a functional design that solves the problem.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field (computer science, finance, math, or statistics).
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
• Highly motivated, self-driven, capable of defining own design and test scenarios

Job responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions in difficult and/or loosely structured problems
• Provide solutions that drive business decisions and highlight new opportunities using metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc.
• Collaborate with customers and other internal partners to refine the problem into specific deliverables using the combination of statistical methods, analytical skills and visualization tools like Amazon Quicksight, Tableau, etc.
• Implement training and document solutions that enable business stakeholders to get the most out of our self-serve reporting tools.
• Constructively identifying quality issues, proposing solutions when necessary, taking on projects that improve BI solutions, and making them better and easier to maintain
• Improve code quality and optimize BI processes (speed, cost, reliability, etc.).
• . Asks correct questions when data model and requirements are not well defined and comes up with designs which are scalable, maintainable and efficient
• Makes enhancements that improve team’s data architecture, making it better and easier to maintain (e.g., data auditing solutions, automating, ad-hoc or manual operation steps)
• Owns the data quality of important datasets and any new changes/enhancements
