You will

• As Data Engineer Advisor, you will join a team leading the way in developing new methods of generating meaning from data – developing new environments, methodologies, processes, tools and data governance structures. You will also propose strategic or tactical plans based on business data and market trends.
• Your keys to success include your passion for innovation and the application of emerging data technologies, to the delivery of cutting-edge data engineering for data science and business intelligence solutions, and the ability to quickly learn new tools/technologies.
• Also, you will get to stretch your ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment in your daily responsibilities:
• Participate in and provide thought leadership to strategic plan development, specific to big data and other analytics solutions
• Engage with internal customers and stakeholders across a global and highly matrixed organization to analyze business goals, define project scope, and identify functional and technical requirements
• Architect and build automated, foundational data processes, integrating data quality monitoring and alert systems; Develop and automate business reporting, dashboards, and executive readouts; Build/maintain analysis, monitoring, and productivity tools
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions, optimizing technology stacks to produce fast, reliable, and accurate business insights
• Work closely with product/program managers and developers in support of team projects/initiatives

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, to include:
• Advanced MS SQL/Postgres SQL development and database architecture knowledge and skills in writing, querying and joining data for views, nesting queries, CTE’s, query optimization, data modeling, functions and more for advanced data reporting
• Experience manipulating data from Data Lakes / Data Warehouses – and preparing the data for use in advanced reporting and visualizations in Tableau and Power BI
• Hands on experience in business communications: including mining, aggregating, displaying and presenting data in MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills and interpersonal skills, including creating excellent teamwork relationships built on trust

Desirable Requirements

• Tableau, PowerBI Salesforce application experience
• Intermediate to advanced Python
