Who You Are:

• We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist in generative AI. Using your depth of artificial intelligence and machine learning expertise while considering the broader business context, you will develop and work with partners to develop industry-leading models powering content discovery and creation. This position will have a direct impact on the content decisions of millions of customers!

Your Next Challenge:

• Research, prototype, build and evaluate industry-leading models using our images, videos, metadata, and/or customer interactions to significantly improve our customers’ content discovery and selection experience
• Develop our technical generative AI roadmap alongside product, team members, and leadership. Distilling customer requirements into problem definitions and identifying technical solutions
• Develop and implement online and offline testing and validation methodologies
• Partner with 3rd parties and APIs to assess, evaluate and integrate their technology, where appropriate
• Partner with product, user research, design, and engineers to test and learn and develop industry-leading user experiences

What You’ll Need:

• Experience building and validating image/video generation or modification models. Professional or research experience.
• A minimum of 3 years validated experience building machine learning models in production settings
• Validated expertise partnering with product, user researchers, and designers developing novel user experiences afforded with new technologies
• Hands-on experience with accessing data, Python, machine learning libraries, compute, and deep learning architectures and libraries (ex: TensorFlow, GANs, transformers, spark, AWS, GPU optimization, etc.)
• Ability to rapidly prototype solutions
• Ability to write clean, understandable code that follows leading industry standards and practices and is well-documented, and to build easily reproducible models
• An ability to consider biases that exist in the data and models and develop solutions to mitigate biases appropriately
• Outstanding interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate at all levels, including explaining sophisticated technical solutions to non-experts
• Open listener, ability to be open to many diverse voices and perspectives
• You are clear, credible, and forward-thinking!
• Nice-to-have: background in image processing techniques for image editing
• A Ph.D. or MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Sociology, Natural Sciences, or any equivalent field is helpful

• Constant operation of computer and frequent usage of other office machinery, including (but not limited to) calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
