Many of the apps you will develop will be used to replace Excel based data entry interfaces for things like entering budget assumptions, business cases parameters, forecasting settings, etc. so you must be very strong on the GUI/front end presentation side, especially with dynamic content and integration with Python Data Science frameworks/Azure. The apps you build should allow users to upload files to a web portal, run backend processes like machine learning models, and return the results either as downloadable file or as a web-based content. You will also need to work on scripting/web scraping projects to capture and transform data.

  • In addition you will work on projects in the following areas:
  • Enterprise based analytics dashboards using Power BI.
  • Scripting/Robotic Process Automation (using Python/VBA/Java/C/Power Automate/etc.)
  • Data Science/Machine Learning models (including integration within web apps).
  • Ad hoc projects/requests as per business needs.

FDA team is truly an IT innovation hub for Finance & Control. Our team is the place where we EMPOWER YOU to unleash your full potential and explore new ideas. You will be encouraged and expected to partner with the business, understand their problems, and based on your technical experience and creative ideas propose new solutions to show businesspeople what IT can for them. Your success in this role will depend on your ability to identify use cases and your ability to come with innovative solutions to address business challenges.

A day in the life of...

  • Regularly conduct meetings with key stakeholders to understand their technical problems/challenges.
  • Translate those meetings into action points and well documented IT projects to work upon.
  • Own the project and be responsible for all its milestones/deliverables.
  • Explore all technical options, assess the pros/cons of each option, and implement the best option.
  • Build all technical aspects of the project and collaborate with IT/FDA team if more support is needed.
  • Enhance and improve existing projects.

 What will make you successful

  • Passion for everything IT related and passion for innovation/creativity in light of ambiguous requests.
  • Ability to own projects and to work independently with minimum supervision.
