Job Description

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Geospatial Information Systems, Remote Sensing, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a technical customer-facing role.
  • Experience in Google Earth Engine, remote sensing, and GIS theories.
  • Experience in full-stack/cloud web development (e.g., Python, JavaScript).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a program/project management role in consulting, software development or systems engineering.
  • Experience with mapping application development and integration using Google Maps platform or other web GIS platforms on web and/or mobile platforms.
  • Experience in published research or open source utilities that leverage Google Earth Engine.
  • Experience in areas such as remote sensing, geospatial data science, or machine learning.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform development (e.g., Google Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Google Cloud Run/App Engine).
  • Understanding of solution architecture within web environments.

In this role, you will work with Public Sector agencies to help them successfully leverage Google’s Geospatial capabilities in their critical operations. Additionally, you'll help prospective customers and partners to understand the power of Google Earth Engine and Google Maps APIs and related offerings, explaining new and existing technical features, and problem-solving key technical issues.

You'll assist other Sales teams, problem-solving issues for our customers, liaising with Product Marketing and Engineering teams to keep up-to-date on industry trends, and devising enhancements to Geo products. You'll maintain on-going technical relationships and serve as the customer's advocate within Google, route issues, filing feature requests, and conducting regular best practice reviews to ensure their growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Geo integrations in their environments.
  • Work with various teams to resolve product problems affecting customer satisfaction.
  • Manage technical aspects of solutions to include such activities as supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the creation of supporting technical resources.
  • Prepare and deliver product messaging in an effort to highlight our value proposition using techniques to include whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and response documents.
  • Design and implement solutions using products and geospatial solutions.
