As a Data Science Intern, you’ll make things happen!

Our Data Science Interns will have the opportunity to gain industry-leading insight, guidance and support to learn our technology stack and grow into fully productive members of our team; no bench sitting!

If you want help, you'll get it - from all quarters, but we’ll encourage you to figure out what needs to be done, identify who is in the best position to make it happen; and if that’s you, roll up your sleeves and get stuck in!

What you’ll get to do:

The Data Science team at Signifyd builds the models that power our fraud detection engine. Our machine learning pipeline keeps us one step ahead of fraudsters and their constantly evolving tactics and our research and experiments develop into new products that improve the merchant payments experience.

From the outset you’ll contribute to our features and products and participate fully in your team’s responsibilities, that means you’ll:

• Be part of a team who are responsible for the full lifecycle of their products:
• Be building production machine learning models that identify fraud
• Write production and offline analytical code in Python or Java
• Research emerging fraud patterns with the Risk Analysis team
• Work with distributed data pipelines.

To know if we’re a great fit for you, you’ll:

• Be working towards a Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other STEM related fields.
• Have an interest or desire to work with Python, Java, SQL or any of our development stack, or you’ll have worked with some of our stack before on your own time or for your own projects
• Have an interest in machine learning
• Be willing to ask for help if you need it
• Be comfortable making a mistake, but be willing to learn from it
• Be open to learning from others and always curious to know more

(Colorado only*) Minimum pay of $40/hour. 
*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
