At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.?

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.?

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

We are seeking a senior data scientist who thrives in playing a key role leading an online experimentation program. The ideal person will demonstrate an aptitude for consulting and collaborating with business analytics teams across the company to understand their strategic objectives and tactics, then produce experimentation training and playbooks. The candidate should enjoy conceptualizing an organization’s strategy and influencing how opportunities are tested.

Besides consulting skills, experiment design and analysis skills are also keys to success. This means the candidate must have expert knowledge of inferential statistics, particularly its application in an online experimentation framework. The candidate will have first-hand experience in conducting & interpreting statistical analysis of data in support of high-visibility split tests and provide clear insights beyond the rote determination of a winner. Quality, trustworthy data is crucial, so the candidate will be expected to show leadership in partnering with the platform team to ensure the data environment is robust and tuned to the needs of rapid, large-scale experimentation.

What you'll get to do…

• Grow organizational knowledge around experimentation through educational initiatives and internal leadership over experimental methods and standardized methodologies
• Consult business analysts on A/B and multivariate experiment design and best practices, proving oneself as a subject matter expert and trustworthy partner
• Partner with data engineers and business analysts to create high-quality experiment metrics
• Interpret test results and provide recommendations on next steps
• Collaborate with the platform team to facilitate improved analytics and automated reporting
• Contribute to internal experimentation platform codebase
• Research new, cutting-edge experimentation designs & analyses

Your experience should include…

• 3+ years of experience in data analytics
• 2+ years with experimentation or AB testing
• 1+ years of success in leading relationships with marketing or product teams
• Degree in statistics, data science, mathematics, or other discipline (e.g., computer science, economics, biology) that exposes scientific methods of research and analysis. 
• Must have prior experience with Hive or SQL
• Must have programming experience with R or Python
• Strong Communication Skills

• Track record of contributing to production systems and pipelines
• Deep knowledge of A/B and multivariate testing methodology, including statistical foundations, best practices, and pitfalls. Pre-post analysis methods and Bayesian statistics
• Advanced statistics degree
