Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

About the job

The Developer Relations Engineering (DRE) team is part of the Developer Relations (DevRel) organization. We are responsible for crafting the developer experience for Google Cloud Platform developers in the Data Analytics space, including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Composer, and others.

We author software development kits and client libraries and provide feedback on API design, platform consistency, and functionality. We write sample code and work with our technical writing teams to produce developer documentation, quickstarts, and tutorials. We release open source code, participate in developer forums, help troubleshoot developer problems, and engage with product engineering teams to help them understand the developer experience as a critical part of the platform. Our goal is to provide delightful experiences to developers across the world.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally and with external developers to directly and indirectly improve the developer experience. You will build and improve BigQuery client libraries and connectors. You will improve the BigQuery and cross-product experience for working with data science and analytics-focused products in the Data Analytics product portfolio.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary range between $130,000 - $139,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation range for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product-aligned engineering teams to understand and improve the developer experience of our products, specifically around BigQuery.
  • Assist third-party developers in troubleshooting their integrations with Google APIs and use of other Google developer products.
  • Build client libraries, software development kits, connectors, code samples, and other developer tools to improve the developer experience of using Google’s platforms and APIs.
