Job Description
Work for Solution Engineering Team to deliver unified diagnostics & health check platform for set of vmware products which includes vSphere, vSAN and VCF.
Responsibilities:
- Develop SHD for key vmware products and customer asks
- Own and deliver a feature end-to-end and demonstrate expertise in given feature/product area.
- Develop innovative ideas and solutions for projects.
- Identify Positive, Negative, Security, Stress, Interoperability tests from Product Request Doc and Functional Spec and create a test Plan.
- Design, implement, execute and maintain tests using Python
- Analyze and report test results.
- Troubleshoot and Identify issues in the product.
- Fix and validate the changes until a resolution is reached.
- Attend Engineering meetings and identify gaps in existing product & tests.
- Continuously improve the test coverage by adding more tests.
- Work collaboratively across other teams.
Required Skills:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Advance Python & JAVA programming
- Micro Service Architecture & development leveraging Kubernetes
- Software engineering methodologies
- Expertise in Object Oriented Concepts
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Good communications skills (verbal & written) in English
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with VMware products: Virtual Center Server, ESX
- Familiarity with REST, WSDL, SOAP, XML
- Knowledge on Test Automation Framework.
- Familiarity in Eclipse, Perforce, Review Board, Bugzilla.
