About this Position

Title: Senior Data Scientist

Location: United States | Remote

Riverbed is seeking a Senior Data Scientist with strong background in data architecture, cloud, data engineering and data science technology expertise who will be expected to drive our core analytics platform and help lead the company's analytics solutions. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in helping define and grow processes, methods, and outcomes for using data science to tangible business outcomes.

You are a strong communicator with a talent for storytelling, and ability to work well with cross functional partners

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish and lead our enterprise-scale cloud data and predictive analytics platform and technology vision and capabilities roadmap, driving standardization and reuse across analytics solutions built across multiple business domains
• Lead efforts to define processes, methods and outcomes for using data science in the Organization
• Work with cross functional leaders and individuals to evolve Riverbed’s data science strategy
• Develop models through analysis of complex data from a variety of sources to predict outcomes such as customer attrition, bookings, renewals etc.
• Analyze data from a variety of sources using diverse set tools and approaches
• Play a role in developing and delivering key business metrics and partner with business teams to provide useful insights
• Create and lead data science, AI/ML competency within the Organization and drive the roadmap around predictive analytics use cases.
• Provide leadership for our analytics solutions, including data modeling, data engineering, ETL
• Lead design and building of our analytics platform and related solutions and services
  Manage, mentor and grow an analytics team of data & analytics solution developers as required.
• Work closely with company leadership within IT and various business groups to drive innovations and new analytics capabilities/offerings
• Hands-on to drive teams and standardize our approach to data and analytics capabilities and associated processes through a shared set of definitions, techniques and processes
• Review solution requirements and lead the architecture to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technology
• Define and drive the development of building a company data lake, data marts and data warehouse using appropriate Data Design Patterns, replication, data visualization, data science and predictive analytics.
• Ensure that industry-accepted architecture principles, standards, guidelines and concepts are integrated with those of allied disciplines and coordinated roll-out and adoption strategies are in place
• Advise on new technology trends and possible adoption to maintain competitive advantage

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

• Ideal candidate should have strong background in a quantitative field, mathematics, computer science, economics, statistics, etc.
• 10-12 years industry experience and at least 4+ years of proven experience in analytics focused on enhancing products and driving innovation
• Ability to communicate analytics results and data storytelling to influence teams and leaders
• Creative problem solver able to apply first-principles reasoning to solve complex problems
• 4+ years of experience in data, analytics solutions and application architecture is required along with at least 2+ years of experience designing and building analytics solutions in cloud environment such as Oracle Cloud (desirable) and other cloud vendors like Azure Cloud, AWS, GCP desired
• Experience in building predictive analytics solutions that help uncover patterns and build predictions using data science algorithms and ML/AI techniques.
  experience in data science technologies such as Python, SciPy, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, Tensor Flow, NLTK and exposure to MATLAB, Jupyter
• Knowledgeable in industry reporting platforms like Tableau, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
• Knowledgeable about industry database solutions like Oracle Database/SQL (mandatory) exposure to cloud data warehouse Snowflake, Azure Synapse etc. is desirable.
• Knowledgeable about ETL technology: Informatica, Tableau Prep, Dell Boomi, cloud data integration tools (desirable)
