Integral Ad Science (IAS) is a global technology and data company that builds verification, optimization, and analytics solutions for the advertising industry and we’re looking for a Data Engineering Intern to join our Total Visibility team. If you are excited by technology that has the power to handle hundreds of thousands of transactions per second; collect tens of billions of events each day; and evaluate thousands of data-points in real-time all while responding in just a few milliseconds, then IAS is the place for you!

As a Data Engineering Intern you will work amongst a highly skilled and passionate team of engineers coding the systems which process billions of programmatic advertising events to analyze the financial impact of waste and fraud on advertising campaigns.

What you’ll get to do:

• Monitor and improve data quality at various stages through our data pipeline
• Create and iterate a project which runs in AWS on lambda, ECS or EMR
• Interact with our data at different stages through its life cycle in a variety of forms: CSV, JSON, AVRO, Parquet and SQL
• Provide a tremendous service to our customers by helping ensure their findings arrive quickly and accurately

You should apply if you have most of this experience:

• Hands-on experience coding with Java or Python
• Understanding of database and data structure fundamentals
• Experience working with AWS in any capacity
• Ability to effectively communicate with your peers
