Job Description

We are looking for a data scientist to join our team to build the next generation of AI models to impact healthcare. You will be building, maintaining and improving all parts of the AI development pipeline from data ingestion to production. You will enjoy working with a highly talented and diverse team on some of the richest data sets in US healthcare

This AI/ML Engineering opportunity is an exciting role that will expand your knowledge and will allow you to create commercial grade AI solutions for various medical imaging products that have the potential to directly improve the radiologists and cardiologists work efficiency as well as improve patient’s clinical outcome. We have access to state-of-the-art tools in ML, comprehensive cloud support, and extensive data from our large customer installed base.

This role will consist of the design, development, and optimization of innovative AI solutions, from data ingestion and machine learning modeling to integration into our products. The AI Enterprise Imaging team has product and development stakeholders throughout the business unit and works closely with academic and industrial partners. The AI Data Scientist is expected to work with all stakeholders to fulfill the Company’s business needs

What will I be responsible for in this job?

• Design, prototype and implement innovative AI/machine learning algorithms for medical imaging use cases
• Collaborate with academic and industrial partners to collect data, develop, and validate AI solutions
• Develop data cleaning, pre-processing methods to normalize data and detect outliers
• Build and maintain large medical imaging databases of unlabeled and labeled data
• Assist with the product integration of machine learning solutions and in the development of machine learning Web/UI applications
• Self-starter that will take tasks and accomplish them with little oversight according to timelines and budgets agreed upon with business and technology stakeholders

What are the requirements?

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field or equivalent experiences
• 3+ years of professional experience developing AI/Machine Learning models
• 3+ years of professionalexperience with programming languages:Python, Java and C/C++
• 2+ years of professional experience with computer vision, image-based AI techniques
• 1+ years of professional experience with medical imaging
• 1+ years of professional experience with some of these technologies: Kubernetes, NGINX, VM, Database, GKE
• 1+ years of experience with R
• Proficiency with TDD and CI/CD processes
• Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
• Proven leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• Successful deployment of AI based products
• Strong experience with ML tools such as Tensorflow, Pytorch, MLFlow
• Experience with healthcare software product development and/or with regulated industries
• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field or equivalent experiences
• Experience with at least one of the public cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud 
• Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
• Highly self-motivated, directed and results-oriented, cross-cultural and team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
