In your role as a Data Scientist for Business Analytics, you’ll work closely with teams such as finance, marketing, operations, and sales to create scalable analytics and reporting solutions that focuses on crucial cost, revenue, and growth factors that directly drive our business forward on multiple products and services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with partners from key operational areas ranging from marketing to finance to operations to understand business objectives and help them with tracking key business metrics in a scalable way. 
• Research data sources, engage with engineering to provide optimal data solutions using appropriate tools/techniques, build insightful dashboards, self-service tools and reports to slice/dice data to help with partners in making strategic decisions. 
• Actively participate in the execution and planning of our data capture strategies to improve data automation, data quality, and our analytics capabilities. 
• Run ad-hoc data extracts for requests from diverse partners and automate those needs over time. 
• Leverage a broad set of technical skills and strong business understanding to creatively solve complex problems. 

Candidate Profile

• 3+ years’ experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field in SaaS or consumer companies
• Strong SQL skills, hands-on experience with BI tools like Tableau and ability to code in and analyze data with Python (or R),
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements through active partnerships, collaborating with partners, data scientists and data engineers. 
• Compelling storytelling through analytics and visualization, getting your point across, and keeping your audience engaged 
• Excellent communication skills, experience in presenting and effectively documenting findings to colleagues and business partners
• Strong critical thinking, active listening, and communication skills to infer business needs, grasp the underlying context, and translate loose direction on analytical projects into concrete solutions
• A general knowledge of machine learning approaches is a plus. 
• A Master’s degree or higher in computer science, statistics, information systems, engineering, or a related field 

The base salary range for this position is $95,000-110,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU’s, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2022. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
