Summary:

The Applied Machine Learning Group within Paramount Streaming’s Advanced Technologies division focuses on deploying machine learning techniques to improve our products!

We take on highly technical analyses, which require researching, reporting, presenting, and ultimately providing decision support services and practical insights to the rest of the business.

Our Senior Data Analysts take ownership of projects from conception to delivery, pulling together multi-functional teams whose contributions are essential for completing the projects. We also create data reports to monitor existing model inputs and present potential additional model features. Sources of data include traffic/video/ consumption data from Adobe Analytics tools (Omniture), purchase/ subscription data from our data warehouse.

Key Projects:

• Build dashboards (using DataStudio and other BI tools) that illustrate how key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics are changing over time. Provide “color” and insights from the findings and make recommendations regarding the performance of personalization.
• Build dashboards and alerting to monitor feature inputs to existing machine learning personalization models
• Construct training materials that illustrate standard methodologies for writing efficient SQL code in Google BigQuery.
• Provide analytical support for machine learning engineers running experiments to interpret results

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, IT, Data Analysis, or similar field.
• 3+ years experience in web analytics, online media industry.
• 2+ years analyzing web analytics, video analytics (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) or 3rd-party syndicated audience measurement services (comScore/ Nielsen)
• 2+ years using analytical tools and languages supporting data analysis, reporting, and visualization - Excel, Microsoft Office, Google Collaborative Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides), R, Python
• 2+ years experience with SQL / SQL queries

Additional Qualifications:

• Understanding of web, native app, video measurement technology and standards
• Strong detail-orientation with a penchant for data accuracy and strong written communication skills
• Exceptional communicator across all levels of the organization; able to effectively tell stories with data and present findings to a technical and non-technical audience
• Strong mathematics, statistics background
• Experience using project management tools like those from Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience using Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery)
