Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) is looking for an experienced Transportation Data Scientist to work with our Product Distribution Center (PDC) team in North America. This is an exciting new role within the organization and will focus on analyzing and providing transportation insights to the PDC transportation management team.
The role is preferred to be based out of High-Cube Centers (HCC) Detroit, Memphis, or Sacramento, but open to other Parts Distribution Center (PDC) locations within the United States, Atlanta, Denver, Fort Worth, Greensboro, Hartford, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Lakeland, New York, Ontario, Portland, Twin Cities, or Washington D.C.
The Transportation Data Scientist will be responsible for collecting data, visualizing data, and providing actionable insights to the PDC transportation management team. This role will require data analysis, understanding of system workflows, multi-functional communication, and issues management.
This individual will be a self-starter with an ambitious spirit, inherently curious, motivated by challenges, ability to self-manage without direct mentorship, passionate about root cause analysis, be driven by analytics and data insights, able to visually illustrate data in a consumable format, superb communication skills, work well with all levels of the organization, and have a “can do” attitude.
