Apple builds world-class innovative products that integrate hardware with intelligent software experiences using machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer vision. MLPT is the team that makes it possible for Apple engineers to innovate ML driven product features rapidly and at scale. The team enables future Apple intelligent products by making cutting edge ML technologies, large scale compute and data systems designed specifically for ML available to engineers within Apple. This role will play a critical role in the global MLPT executive leadership team by ensuring that the organization and team are continuously improving across multiple dimensions and serving as a close partner, collaborator and operational expert for our leader. This role requires strong relationship management, program creation and management and multi-functional coordination. This teammate will use collaboration and partnership to impact engagement across all of AIML and Apple.

Key Qualifications

• We expect this candidate to...
• - Bring a hybrid technical and business background to manage a nimble team of strategy & operations professionals to support the MLPT division and senior leadership team at greater depth.
• - Be responsible for managing a highly complex division-wide P&L with a specific focus on infrastructure components. Past hands-on financial experience performing budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis in an engineering org is beneficial.
• - Drive strategic processes: Spearhead our fiscal & quarterly planning efforts, ensure the leadership team is setting effective OKRs, communicating with clarity and transparency to the organization, and taking effective action on team culture topics.
• - Handle breadth: The needs of the organization are numerous and ever-changing. This role will need to handle a very wide variety of focus areas as the situation demands.
• - Streamline logistics: Oversee and lead key logistical tasks including space planning, headcount planning and management, compensation planning, talent planning, etc.
• - Enhance culture: Leading the division’s cultural initiatives in partnership with HR and other stakeholders.
• - Own all team-wide comms such as: Town Halls, Manager Meetings and exec demos. React proactively to events that shape the world we live in.

Education & Experience

• Technical Bachelors or graduate degree with business experience. MBA a plus but not required
