The MITRE Enterprise Cybersecurity & IT Infrastructure Solutions Department, part of the Enterprise Intelligence Division, is seeking an individual to serve as a leader of a small project team and technical advisor to senior government officials. The task is to deliver and implement a phased agency wide solution that includes automation opportunities and financial data analytics (predictive, modeling) to support on-demand program acquisition planning decisions. The task lead will identify the disconnects between various IT investment portfolio datasets (engineering, mission, financial, etc.) and understand which data entities are needed to enhance acquisition investment planning.

The Task Leader is responsible for technical delivery, task planning, and customer engagement, while partnering with the Department Manager and Project Leader to bring on the right set of technical skills to staff the task. The Task Leader will work with the customer to define impactful mission outcomes, define stakeholder decisions to support those outcomes, make actionable recommendations and deliver data-driven technical products. The Task Leader will support team members in understanding the mission and objectives of both the sponsor and MITRE.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing financial and acquisition process recommendations with rationale to the sponsor
• Leading development of automation solutions and financial data analytics
• Providing technical expertise to the government and support contractors
• Identifying, planning, and executing task actions and meeting milestones

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
• Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applications who are eligible for security clearances.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with financial data analytics
• Familiar with federal government program acquisition planning
• Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences
• Excellent interpersonal skills, discretion, diplomacy, and tact
• Willingness to work at a customer site in Springfield, VA as the primary location for addressing critical issues and developing working solutions
• Experience leading a collaborative work team and operating with a sense of urgency
• TS/SCI with CI Poly

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Tableau
