Job Description

The Growth & Sales Data Science team is using Data Science, Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning to help Growth & Sales be a successful as possible. The team currently has three distinct pillars, customer and market intelligence, pricing and automation and augmenting decision making. From this foundation, we’re now looking to derive even more value from data to support Growth & Sales, and the wider business to support Jacobs implement its 2022-2024 strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Leading a team of four data scientists across the UK and Poland, growing and motivating the team, setting direction and pace required to deliver business objectives.
• Delivery of well-designed, thorough, innovative and commercially focused Analytics & Data Science projects to support the implementation of Jacobs’ 2022-2024 strategy and sustainability objectives.
• Being a vocal champion and advocate for Analytics & Data Science practises and demonstrating measurable value-add from these capabilities.
• Assist Market and Country Directors understand changes with key clients and markets through the publishing on insightful updates on a regular basis.
• Leverage data from both Sales and Operations to provide a 360o view of customers across all Jacobs touch points.
• Develop and implement a social media tracking system to help Jacobs understand our client’s businesses better and where we’re uniquely positioned to support them.
• Engaging stakeholders across the organisation globally to shape the future of Data Science and Analytics within Growth & Sales.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking
• An excellent communicator with the ability to clearly make sense of complex ideas to multiple stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in Data Science Fields (e.g., Machine Learning, Natural Language Processes, Deep Learning).
• Must have extensive experience in Python Data Science stack (pandas, scikit learn, numpy) and GitHub.
• Must have extensive experience in Power BI (preferred) or Tableau.
• Knowledge of the Azure ecosystem.
• Experience in Agile ways of Working.
• Project management experience with the ability to manage and prioritise complex work projects concurrently.
