We have exciting opportunities for a Graduate Transport Analyst and Data Scientist to join our Sydney Transport Planning team in 2023. You'll have a keen interest in analysing transport system data, machine learning, performing analysis, computer programming, and testing in Python, R, and other languages as required. You'll be involved in project teams developing transport planning strategies, traffic and transport studies and/or traffic modelling projects for some of the projects that will shape the future of our transportation systems. Our teams are involved with major and iconic projects such as Sydney Metro, Western Harbour Tunnel and Warringah Freeway Upgrade and many other initiatives with public and private sector clients.

You'll also gain experience in developing custom data models and algorithms and the manipulation, analysis and visualisation of large datasets culminating in the presentation of transport information through dashboards. You'll support the integration and application of modelling procedures within our transport modelling software packages and work in collaboration with your colleagues to plan, document, and execute our data and modelling quality assurance process – and we’ll mentor you each step of the way to ensure you’re set up for success.

Ideally, by January 2023 you'll hold a university degree in a relevant field (Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Programming, Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, or similar).
