RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Partner with software engineers, data analysts, and product managers to design and deliver product customers love
• Develop Natural Language Processing (NLP) models with superior performance to empower Goldman Sachs Marcus Conversational AI platform
• Continuously analyze, evaluate, and optimize existing NLU models to improve AI bot accuracy and performance
• Apply best-in-class machine learning techniques to solve the business problem at hand
• Produce novel insights based on the large volume of data to advise product strategy
• Assist others with the data discovery and data preparation phase

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years working experience as a Data Scientist with a Master's Degree in Computer Science or relevant fields; or new Ph.D. graduate with a research concentration on NLU/NLP & Machine Learning
• Experience in Deep Learning & ML frameworks and libraries like Tensorflow, PyTorch, or similar tools.
• Experience in NLP, Data Science, analytics, and/or engineering fields
• Experience in optimizing the NLU data model to improve performance based on analytics
• Expert knowledge of Python, Scala, or R for large scale data analysis
• Solid data analytics and problem-solving skill
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
•  Culture of excellence and collaboration
• Ability to proactively establish trust with stakeholders who have different technology awareness levels

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in “STEM” field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) 
• Knowledge on MySQL, NoSQL, graph Database, Snowflake.
• Knowledge on AWS or Azure a plus
• Fintech experience will be a great asset
