WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to take part in the design, development and automation of our machine learning, computer vision and deep learning experiments, data pipelines, tooling, and infrastructures. Our ideal candidate is a versatile, organized, self-directed individual, a team player and natural collaborator, who enjoys tinkering with cloud, automation and data technologies and is always on the lookout for an opportunity to optimize.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

• The engineer will work on multi-disciplinary products that employ data, traditional machine learning and deep learning at their core and are aimed at an audience of millions of consumers.
• The role will span a long stack of (mostly) python and cloud-based technologies for machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, data storing and manipulation, model serving, test-automating, visualizing, and monitoring and will involve discovering, adopting, and developing new tools and software components for the ML and computer vision stacks.
• Design, develop and adopt tools and infrastructure for automated training, testing and deployment of machine learning models and computer vision algorithms over cloud infrastructures.
• Support algorithm teams by building python software components to realize complex, data-driven machine learning, deep learning and computer vision tasks.
• Build the infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of image and non-image data from a wide variety of data sources.
• Develop scripts, tools, and dashboards for manipulating, analyzing, organizing, and visualizing image, tabular and JSON based data.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

This person will report to the Director of Computer Vision in the Nike Tel-Aviv and will work very closely with data scientists, algorithm engineers, backend engineers, dev-ops engineers, and data analysts. Innovation Hub, and perform Data Processing and ML tasks for the Computer Vision and Data Science Teams, collaborating strongly with Dev-Ops team and data analysts.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• 3+ years of experience in software development in Python (both scripting and Object-Oriented Programming)
• Familiarity with Pandas and NumPy
• Experience with SQL or no-SQL databases
• Experience with AWS (or other cloud platforms)
• Experience in building and maintaining infrastructure for machine learning training and deployment and understanding of ML and data analysis processes
• Strong organizational skills and self-direction
• Excellent English (verbal and written)
• Strong skills in data manipulation, cleanup, management, organization, visualization and storage. Ability to write custom tools and integrate with existing tools and frameworks
• Programmatic image manipulation skills (OpenCV / PIL / SciKit Image) is an advantage
• Familiarity with machine/deep learning frameworks (SciKit Learn / Tensorflow / Keras / PyTorch) is an advantage
• Experience with C++ is an advantage
