Job Description

We are looking for you to lead our machine learning, data science, and engineering innovation teams based primarily in Tel Aviv. These teams work together to find novel ways to unlock value from Nike’s big data. Examples of this work include using body scan data to improve the way Nike approaches size and fit for its customers around the world, and using Nike.com search data to generate ideas for new footwear designs. Reporting to the VP Consumer Data Science, your areas of focus in this role will:

• Lead and develop a talented team of Data Science Directors, Sr Data Scientists, Engineering Directors, Engineers, and Designers. Hire, onboard, and develop additional talent primarily in Tel Aviv, but also in the United States.
• Lead data science innovation work streams that require cross-functional squads including product managers and members of Nike’s other data science teams.
• Partner closely with Nike’s other data science teams to uncover new ideas for unlocking value from its data, and to bring those ideas to like.
• Develop the underlying ways of working and platform in Tel Aviv, such that the portfolio of innovation projects can scale over time.
• Expand the vision for data science at Nike. Learn the business of designing shoes and apparel and bringing them to market around the globe to understand how to best serve partners. Translate those learnings into projects with huge impact.
• Be a part of the broader data science community within Nike and contribute to a culture of learning.

Who you will work with

You will be the leader of the Data Science Innovation team, reporting to the Vice President of Consumer Data Science. You will lead the teams based in Tel Aviv, as well as several data scientists based in the United States. Data Science Innovation is part of Nike’s Insights function, so you will also be a member of the broader data science and analytics community at Nike
