About the job

In this role, you will help the analytical roadmap for Google’s Global Legal Organization. You will be working with executives and other internal stakeholders to articulate and support the solutions you have proposed, and often collaborate cross-functionally with partners in Corporate Engineering and the Global Affairs organization to ensure alignment and coordination.

Our team is focused on supporting the patents organization, where they build Machine Learning (ML) applications and general engineering support.

You will serve as the manager overseeing the business intelligence and data science roadmap and operating processes for the Legal organization.

  • Write business requirement documents, often including technical elements, to communicate Legal needs to Product and Engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to establish technical execution plans, and own communication of progress and plans back to legal stakeholders.
  • Help facilitate decision making, including evaluating vendor applications, evaluating functional and technical designs (e.g., multi party integrations across systems, vendors, etc.), build-vs-buy evaluation, and more.
