We are looking for an energetic product professional to join our team – this is an exciting opportunity to lead product development in one of the fast-growing areas in tech, data science!

Key responsibilities for this role include

  • Act as the voice of the customer by developing a deep understanding of their core pain points and jobs to be done
  • Have a deep understanding of emerging technology trends around data science across multiple use-cases and industries
  • Define innovative solutions and a winning market mix strategy (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) – based on data and insights acquired through market research, qualitative engagements with customers, market feedback, and NPIS and quality inputs.
  • Work closely with R&D to improve efficiency of product development, process and workflows.
  • Clearly communicate product portfolio, and strategy to customers, senior management, sales and external teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across multiple groups, including sales/channel, marketing, engineering, and finance
  • Manage key experiences and technologies necessary to support customer needs
  • Creation of presentation materials for executive reviews (PowerPoint slides, Excel Worksheets, various communications, etc…)
  • Business analysis (market, competitive, industry, sales)
  • Partner closely with marketing and markets to ensure a strong story and strategy for Go-to-Market.
  • Monitor competition and prepare competitive analyses based on first-hand use of competitive software & hardware

Experience knowledge & skills

  • Experience launching products for a software company, including knowledge of product development and sales/marketing motions,
  • Knowledge of data science industry, such as trends, pain-points and HW/SW competitive landscape (preferrable, but not required)
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Industry savvy drives out-of-the-box thinking and develops solid action plans. Naturally curious, constantly looking for innovative ways to improve customer experiences
  • Eager to learn new concepts, including those technical in nature
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to all levels of management and team members

Qualifications required

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, marketing, business, or similar field. MBA preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in product marketing and/or product management with 2+ years of professional data science experience
  • Demonstrated business acumen for product management and proven ability to apply marketing fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience with data science workflows, cloud service tools, and/or data science languages (Python, R), Big Data Tools (Spark, Hadoop, MapReduce), Python Frameworks (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlor, Keras), and Databases (SQL, Kafka, NoSQL)
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to learning and personal growth
  • Demonstrated drive, confidence and risk taking
  • Proven ability to prioritize among multiple demands, and gather adequate information toward making timely decisions
  • Extraordinary communication skills, verbal and written, and demonstrated ability to influence, persuade, and ability to articulate a value proposition to a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Must be able to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing objectives, ambiguous situations, and priority interrupts
  • Preferred: Experience working at a startup or on an incubation team

Desired Skills

  • General knowledge of Linux OS, AI, Factory processes
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, and business intelligence
  • Experience developing as-a-Service offerings
  • Passion for delivering software and familiarity with different consumption models, including APIs, command line interfaces (CLI), and user interfaces (UI).
  • Strong knowledge of programming skills, and software development
  • Experience working in multi-market organizations
  • Market-Aware and customer-centric product thinking & validation
  • Experience producing AL/ML related how-to content (blog, YouTube, books, tutorials)
