Our Impact:
We are the first line of defense team for Investments & Capital Markets. We support our division on all matters and activities related to Data Governance and Management.
Your Impact:
- Roll out the I&CM data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality, issue management and the protection of sensitive data through appropriate procedures and controls
- Build and maintain data quality reporting
- Identify, assess and design remediation action plans for data issues and monitor their progress to completion
- Analyze risks related to data, monitor key indicators and produce monthly risk governance reports and materials for Risk Committees
- Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and Technology to ensure that data related business requirements for appropriately handling and protecting data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood
- Conduct annual DCAM assessment
- Develop, improve and streamline divisional procedures and job aides
- Provide mentorship and support to the business in identifying and assessing information risks, developing relevant controls, provide support during their internal audits and regulatory exams
- Collaborate with various partners in Capital Markets and other parts of the organization on data management and governance related matters
- build and maintain metadata required to accurately manage and protect data
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of information risk and data governance experience within the financial services industry
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, IT or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred
- Experience defining and documenting business processes and information flows including metadata and data lineage
- Understanding of industry standards related to information risk management and data governance
- Understanding DMBok/DAMA framework and DCAM maturity assessments
- Familiarity data governance and metadata management tools (Collibra, Informatica, Talend, Snowflake, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to lead a project/assignment
- Ability to collaborate effectively, open to new ideas, challenge status quo and lead change
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Management
