As a Materials Management Data Scientist for Waterloo Engine Works located in Waterloo, Iowa, you will…

• Develop and maintain various dashboards, scripts, reports, and tools.
• Create interactive operational tools for end-users
• Engage with cross-functional team to develop and implement solutions across the factory operations.
• Applies analytical techniques for inventory control, supply management, production planning and material flow (e.g., predictive analytics)

What Skills You Need

• 2 or more years of experience with a statistical programming language (Python, R)
• 2 or more years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Wrangler, or equivalent
• 2 or more years of experience working with cross-functional teams
• 5 or more years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, etc.
• 5 or more years of factory and/or Supply Management experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience with AMES, SAP and warehouse management systems.
• Experience developing applications using Ignition and Alteryx
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
• Advanced degree (Master’s/Doctorate in Data Science, Analytics, Engineering)

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Engineering or similar discipline
