Job Description

Data Governance is responsible for the disciplined execution of governance programs and practices across all data.

  • Applies knowledge and ability to define and/or operate against the vision/strategy of data and governance.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of data governance modeling, tools, and practices.
  • Identifies and manages data quality in alignment with the needs of the business and/or industry.
  • Ensures complete protection of data with all policies as it relates to visibility and distribution.
  • Identifies and communicates insights and potential upstream/downstream impacts and opportunities to customers, business and/or enterprise leaders.
  • Exemplifies effective communication and change management skills to varying audiences.

Accountabilities:

  • Drive implementation and adoption of the Enterprise Data Governance Playbook for Medical Procurement division
  • Capture and maintain data ownership, prioritization, and criticality of data elements
  • Work with Data Owners and Stewards to establish and progress towards defined targets for data management maturity and data quality index
  • Capture and maintain metadata
  • Develop Operational data definitions and manage Integrity and Quality of data
  • Define and own data access approvals
  • Present at Working Groups and other Leadership meetings for alignment and approval
  • Create and govern current state and future state data flows, with identification of dependencies and integration points
  • Support quality & regulatory teams to drive data compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 7-10 years’ experience in related field
  • Manufacturing industry experience a plus
  • Relevant industry certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Source-to-Pay process
  • Knowledge of data management processes
  • Ability to understand master data structure and data elements (item / material, supplier, contract, etc.)
  • Ability to understand and drive data quality and data governance
  • Ability to understand and guide data modeling, data lineage and data usage decisions
  • Ability to understand the business, high-level technical solutions and associated data creation and consumption
  • Process oriented with strong project management skills
  • A Covid-19 vaccination is required in order to be employed in this position. This includes either:
  • 2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine
  • 1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine

Covid-19 Vaccination Requirement does not apply to the following:

Residents in the state of Texas, Montana, Tennessee or Florida
